Sierra Leone: Teenage Girls are Dying From Unsafe Abortions and Risky Pregnancies

Dear all,

I've just read a very interesting article by The Guardian newspaper which is called:

Sierra Leone: teenage girls are dying from unsafe abortions and risky pregnancies

This article is about really terrible and serious problem because there are so many examples of this.

As you see above, in this article was discuissed such aspects as:
  • teenage abortion;
  • unsafe abortions & risky pregnancy.
Just imagine:
"In 2013 the country had the 7th highest teenage pregnancy rate in the world, 38% of women aged 20-24 had their first baby before the age of 18. Sierra Leone is by no means an exception. Worldwide teenage pregnancy is a huge issue, 11% of births globally are to women aged 15-19, with the majority of these taking place in low- and middle-income countries."
Isn't it serious?  I think it is definitely important problem in our modern society. In my personal view, we should somehow prevent it. By the way, in this article there are some suggestions about it.

So, I definitely recommend you to read it.
And my questions are:
  • What is your opinion?
  • What is the main problem in such situation?
